-A font is a particula weight and style of a larger typeface
-Typefaces are categories comprised of many different fonts, for example Serif is a typeface, and      times new roman is a font that is part of the Serif family

Script= fonts in the script typeface are meant to imitate the fluidity of human handwriting.  Fonts in the script typeface.


Modern and display= the modern typeface is characterised by variance between thin and thick bold lines in the lettering.  Fonts in the modern typeface include impact, Rockwell, and agency 

                                                     
Monospaced= They have larger spaces between each letter and were deigned to look like text was written using a typewriter, they include courier, consoles, and Monaco.







The primary target audience would women and men aged 40-50 year old who are interested into in the latest gossip and news with a twist.  As well as that the secondary target audience would be the younger generation maybe aged 20-22 which have a mature mentality that are.  The font for this magazine Serif with this font in mind it is used to make the writing look posh and expensive, this type face is used in the cover line of the front cover right next to the focal point of the image, as well as the Serif writing the colours of black, white and gold colours go with the theme of the magazine as they these colours are posh and mature.  Therefore the Serif writing makes the front cover and double page article look mature.
